The Unite4Youth Project

Young people are constantly faced with many challenges in today's society. The Unite4Youth Project allows us to help young people deal with issues such as mental health, a lack of employment opportunities and an outdated school curriculum.

What is the Unite4Youth Project?

The Unite4Youth Project is one of the many projects being run under The Gloves Are On charity. The project aims to provide paid opportunities to young people in collaboration with other organisations and charities. This project allows young people to develop skills and gain the experience that they need for the future. Along with this, we have been raising awareness for mental health.

Under the Unite4Youth project, Taylor Thomas has been leading our monthly mental health podcasts where she has connected and talked to a variety of different people fighting for change. The Shoutout to Mental Health Podcast's have covered a range of different topics that could affect a persons mental health, along with many guests talking about their own personal experiences. The podcasts are now available on the Unite4Youth YouTube Channel that was recently set up.

There are plans to use the podcasts that have been filmed in schools to educate children and young people about mental health. The Gloves Are On and Unite4Youth have been fighting for mental health to be introduced more heavily into the school curriculum so that young people have access to the knowledge and support they need if they are struggling. We have also been fighting for black history, LGBTQ+ history and other important topics to be introduced into the curriculum.
