Flashing Lights, Red Carpets and Sparkling Awards

This October and November, Motion Control Dance was honoured to be invited to three incredible award ceremonies; the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards, the One Dance UK awards and the Wales Prestige Awards.

Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards

Kicking it all off, Motion Control Dance attended the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards and won the Third Sector Business of the Year award.

As a charity, Motion Control Dance has always aimed to provide everyone with the chance to dance, running classes for young children to older people, those with disabilities and those with health issues like Parkinson's and dementia.

The charity is honoured to be recognised and supported for advocating the benefits of dance for anyone's overall well-being.

It was a fantastic night celebrating alongside so many remarkable people.

One Dance UK Awards

At the end of October, we had a great time celebrating our nomination at the One Dance UK Awards in Bristol. It was a night full of incredible performances.

Motion Control Dance's Green Movement Showcase was nominated for The Green Dance Award alongside other inspirational projects raising awareness for our planet. 

The Green Movement Showcase saw all dancers from the studio come together to have a peaceful protest and perform dances with different themes surrounding climate change.

Whilst we didn't win the award, it was an incredibly important award to be nominated for and we are thrilled that so many others are using dance to fight for change. 

Wales Prestige Awards

Finally, the Motion Control Dance team attended the Wales Prestige Awards to celebrate winning the Dance Studio of the Year award.

The charity is so grateful to be recognised for the work they are doing in the studio, providing inclusive dance classes for people living in the Vale of Glamorgan.

It was a fantastic night and the MCD team had great fun having a green screen photo shoot.
